Portsmouth Roller Wenches have been getting in on some hardcore derby action recently!
Summer Showdown! – Harold Bashup, Helen, Moscow Cruel, Smack Torque & R.I.P McMurphy skated in the Summer Showdown mixed scrimmage in Eastbourne on Sunday 17th July! Apart from McMurphy this was the other Wenches first scrimmage and we all had a blast!! We skated with awesome grrls from Brighton Rockers, Bristol Harbour Harlots & Eastbourne Roller Dolls. As well as the morning mixed scrim, we did one outdoors for public display at the Eastbourne Extreme event to promote the sport, and we had a lot of interest! Thankfully the rain held off until just after we finished.

Smacky Races B-Team Bout! – R.I.P McMurphy & The Duchess of Crutches skated on Team Fast [vs. Team Furious] in Birmingham on 2nd July, both winning awards for their performances! Well done Wenches!!! The Duchess won the ‘best blocker’ award with R.I.P being crowned M.V.P!!!
Brighton Mixed Scrimmage! – This coming Sunday Halcyon Daze, Harold Bashup, R.I.P McMurphy and Smack Torque are heading down to the Brighton Rockers mixed scrimmage! We are looking forward to seeing our South Coast derby sisters – who are holding their first bout on 6th August in Haywards Heath! We’ll be there to cheer them on Wench style!!
