Not too late to be PRW FRESH MEAT!

It’s still not too late to sign up for the Freshmeat Course, but you don’t have long, If you’re thinking about it, do it now! The next course won’t start till March 2012!

Our Freshmeat Course is starting SUNDAY OCT 16th 2 – 4pm. It’s a set 17 week course. If you didn’t get the chance to come to our awesome taster session, don’t worry – you can still book onto the course!If you’re interested drop us an email to – Portsmouth Roller Wenches and we will send you all the details.

PRW’s first taster evening was a massive success!!

Last night PRW hosted a taster evening for potential (poWenchial!) new skaters to come along and see what roller derby is all about. We were overwhelmed with the response – around 30 future derby grrrls and a couple of potential referees turned up!

From strapping their skates on, some for the first time ever, these grrrls hit the track practicing basic skating, some basic falls and even some hits! We were more than impressed with everyone’s skill & enthusiasm!

They all left with smiles on their faces and can’t wait for our Fresh Meat Course to start on 16th October!

PRW first hosted mixed scrimmage!!

This coming Saturday 3rd September Portsmouth Roller Wenches are to host their first mixed scrimmage! We have skaters coming from Brighton Rockers, Big Bucks High Rollers & other leagues! We are holding it at Havant Leisure Centre from 2-5pm and spectators are welcome for a £3 donation!

Afterwards we are hosting an afterparty, and there ain’t no party like a Roller Wench Party! With DJs, food, games, raffles, plenty of fun and drinks, it’s gonna be a night to remember!
